Where Grace and Mercy Meet

Beat her up guys, beat her up;
Bring her out and take her down.
Burn her at the stake alive

Or slay her so she won't survive.
Crucify her, stab her nerves
Still it's more than she deserves.
Drown her in a smelly drain -
Take her life with whipping chain.
This girl's guilt is plain to see
And nothing can undo the deed.
What's the punishment to be?
Lock her up and lose the key?
But not. The Judge speaks: "Spare her life -
I love her; do not cause her strife.
So grant her immortality:
My Son has paid the penalty."
The girl fell to the Judge's feet.
"I've learnt where grace and mercy meet.
All that I say, all that I do
Will be a sacrifice to You."
