Thieving Lunatic Nutcase
I hate to break your heart my friend
Oh, my true friend, till daylight's end
But i must tell, lest you find out
Some way what I'm dishonourably about
Yes, I must tell, I am a thief:
One that brings the vulnerable grief. It did not start with me, I swear!
I just pray that my end is near.
For I am not just a thief
But lunatic as well, this brief
Life has been unfair to me
Close your eyes and you will see
If you take my hand I will show
All the places I hate and love to go
The line between real and the dream
That old and twisted frail seam
Keeps fraying with the pull of day
Threats to throw safety of you away
Yet while it is there, or you are here
Somehow I can abide and sleep there
Without a fear of danger to fall
No destruction to any nor to all.
Yes, one stole my heart,
Without tact nor mercy it did depart
But how is it I have one more
You bring with you from sea to shore?
I swore my stealing days came to an end
Yet now i can no longer pretend
To be what i had once been
For You have come and washed me clean.
